FORGE WASTEGATE ACTUATOR (1.4L MULTIAIR TURBO)

Forge Motorsport Waste-gate actuator for the ABARTH, Fiat 500T, Fiat 500L, Fiat 124 Spider, and DODGE DART 1.4L fits directly to the turbocharger casting. Requiring no additional brackets.

This wastegate is a great upgrade over the stock wastegate and is highly recommended for those running a tune or turbo upgrades. Designed for adjustability, this is a plug-and-play part on the stock turbo and our 1446+ turbo upgrade. The ability to select a higher tension spring and manually set crack pressure allows for better peak boost precision and sustainability throughout the powerband, especially when combining with tuning.

This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for at, or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stiffer spring upon request.

It is designed and built with the intention of increasing the boost output of a turbocharged system. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all applications, nor the ability to increase the boost output beyond a level that is within the parameters set by the engine management system of the given vehicle at the time of installation, whether that system is factory or aftermarket.

This unit comes with the yellow spring pre-installed. For further adjustments and tuning capabilities, we recommend getting the FORGE ACTUATOR SPRING KIT (comes automatically included with the 124 ABARTH/SPIDER)

APPLICATIONS:

  • FIAT 500T
  • FIAT 500 SPORT (2019+)

NOTE: Forge Motorsport nor any of it’s authorized distributors can assume any responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from the installation and tuning of this product onto a vehicle whose engine-management-system, whether factory or aftermarket, is not capable of allowing for the desired level of adjustment. While Forge Motorsport is happy to supply you with an actuator capable of holding boost beyond that of your factory unit we are in no way capable of knowing nor suggesting that your vehicle's engine or related systems are capable of supporting or surviving the stresses of such elevated boost pressure.

Forge wastage actuator

Feels better than oem feels like it should’ve been this way from the factory especially in a small displacement fast spooling engine definitely makes a difference in the characteristics of the turbo

Does what it says.

WARNING: taking out the stock unit and putting this in was a HUGE PITA due to the molded metal water line in the way. Still, the unit is much better made than the stock one and is easy to adjust and it is precise. The choice of springs is a great way to modify it as needed.

Better than OEM with more capability

I didn't expect this part to make much difference, but boy I was proven wrong! It must hold boost better than the OEM part or at a little higher pressure (green spring) since the car pulled harder and smoother than before the install. Just take your time and go step by step. It's best to let the engine cool down, unlike my install, but gloves and rags saved the day. One tip is to bend the secondary heat shield up, which saves you the hassle of removing it. It's thick enough where it bends back and reinstalls just fine. Use extra care to not drop any bolts, nuts, or the C-clip (rag under it when removing saves the day). Be sure to set the proper preload and you are good to go. It's nice to have the ability to change the spring rate inside to run more boost when changing your tune. This part's build quality is superior to OEM as well.
