TURBO BLANKET (FIAT 500 ABARTH/FIAT 500T)

The Forge Motorsport FMTUBL5 has been designed for the Fiat 500, 595, and 695 turbo (this will not fit those fitted with IHI turbo) . This turbo blanket is designed to isolate the radiant heat produced by the turbocharger. This design has been created to withstand the harshest of environments and proven to withstand temperatures up to 2500°F (1370°C) of radiant heat which will assist in protecting and prolonging the life of engine components. Design innovation keeps the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cool side and the intake path which helps reduce turbo lag and air intake temperatures resulting in more power. Simple to fit using existing OEM hardware.

Love It..

I think the Forge turbo blanket is the best looking blanket available, ESPECIALLY for the price.. The fitment was great and fairly easy install as well!! Wasn't super excited about the cutout since my Abarth doesn't need it, however I don't foresee it being that big of an issue!

Great quality and durability

I bought the heat blanket several months ago and it has done it's job very very well! I would recommend to anyone that wants an aesthetically pleasing heat management device!

Solid heat blanket

The blanket looks nice and fits fairly well. Bolt holes could be adjusted slightly for easier install, but the blanket stretches/shifts enough to make it possible.

I have a 2012 so the cutout for the Oxygen sensor isn’t necessary, but it fits just fine, just an empty quarter-sized cutout between the bolts where the sensor should come through. The savings of about $40 over one without the cutout is worth it, though.

My unscientific test results: After a short but aggressive drive the blanket was about as hot as the old heat shield got after pulling out of my garage, turning the car around, and pulling back in.

Pretty easy to install. My lower left mounting stud came out, but it’s a common issue I’m told and just threads back in like a bolt. Be prepared to bust some knuckles if you have big hands. But you know what they say about big hands . . . . busted knuckles when working on an Abarth.
