500L AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM

The intake looks and sounds cool. The installation, despite the lack of direct instructions included or online, was not too hard to figure out for a first timer like me. The one thing that threw me off was where the stock flexible air scoop hose with its one oval end fits into the system. I eventually figured out that the new longer tube connects directly to the scoop, then the OEM one goes in between that and the new filter, making a U-Turn. Unfortunately, my hose was already old and worn (someone before me even patched it with duct tape) and fiddling with it made it completely unusable. Unfortunate that nothing came in the kit to replace it, but I do understand the philosophy of reusing parts you already have. Candy in the kit was a cute touch. Great experience overall, fast processing and delivery.

I purchased this Cold Air Intake from EC for my 2014 FIAT 500L and love it. Right from the get-go I noticed an increase in power and throttle response. This intake also enhances the aesthetics of the engine bay.

My favorite benefit of the air induction system is the sound. You can hear an aggressive yet civilized whoosh of air when accelerating and the exhaust lets out more of a “growl.”

I knew stock Fiat 500ls are sluggish even worse with the Automatic side ddct. If you are not seasoned with the manual mode it will only be a matter of time the transmission will end up with issues. A simple upgrade that will greatly improve the automatic side as well as any version is this intake. Any added po power for a small wagon SUV is definitely a need. And the 500l definitely needs it unless you plan on staying in town for the life of the vehicle. Added tip if sitting for some extended period of time like at lights or in traffic out the vehicle in neutral to take the strain of the clutch system.
