ALUMINUM SKID-PLATE (FIAT 500 ABARTH/500T)

Installation is easy enough if you can figure out the order of metal spacer, washer, and bolt on your own. No instructions are included, but I would recommend lifting the car with a ramp at least to install it. I used some boxed to prop the skid plate up close to the screw holes, and I used double sided tape to keep the metal spacers from moving during the install.

Also, note that this is the simplified version of the original, larger ones that Eurocompulsion used to make. Only 3 bolts are included, and the installation hinges on the back end of the skid plate contacting the brace bar, which prevents it from wobbling. Time will tell how well it works.

Really excellent upgrade. If lowered you Absolutely need it. I didn’t see a tow ball in the road on the highway, hit it doing 70 and completely destroyed my oil pan and brace bar. Replaced the pan with the upgraded prometeo 6 qt pan, and replaced the bar, added this skid plate and feel much much much more confident that I’m safer and won’t have small debris do anything to my undercarriage. Very good upgrade. Worth the money!

This was a very easy install that provides not only protection for everything under the front but also ease of mind that a surprise of something being in the road is not going to do some major damage. You never know what will be around that net blind corner.

Great product. Not only does this protect the underbelly of the car, the secondary benefit of additional rigidity eliminated some squirminess on turn-in. One could argue there might be a touch more understeer but I happily accept the trade-off.
