OIL CATCH CAN KIT (FIAT 500 ABARTH/500T)

The catch can is a wonderful addition to the Abarth and a good mod if you are looking at getting more serious into building your Abarth. The installation instructions for the catch can assume you are running a EC 4.1 intake, so the outlet is in a different spot than would be if you had the stock air box. Just keep that in mind because the outlet hose provided does not fit on the stock air box so I had to mcgyver the install which requires purchasing some 1 1/4" tubing from O'Reilly's, but it turned out super clean!! I'm super happy and recommended this to all Abarth owners.

I got it because I had a film of oil in my intake tubing and after I installed it the oil went away! Not sure where is went cause the can is empty always, but its gone!

Pros: great bespoke design and fit. Solidly built and nice to have all the pieces. The only small con is that it seems like you need to attach the existing exhaust hose from the OEM AOS *to* the one hose that has a smaller diameter end (because that smaller diameter end is not wide enough to fit, nor is the hose long enough to reach on its own). Seems like you need to do that, and secure the connection with a clamp or zip tie. If that's the case, it should be added to the instructions page...

I purchased an EC 4.1 intake very early in my Abarth ownership. Very quickly I noticed significant oil buildup inside the intake. I installed this catch can via the instructions (roughly 15 mins if you have the 4.1), cleaned the inside of my intake and have not seen a drop of oil inside it since. The mystery portion is that I have not seen a drop of oil inside the catch can either. So yeah, bit of a mystery, but I would absolutely purchase again.
